Specialists are faculty members who may work with students in more than one school and often do not have classes directly associated with them. Specialists could be reading specialists or library media specialists. Any user who needs access to myON -- even if the user does not have classes or is not included in the data provided from the SIS -- can be added as a specialist. This role can be used to prevent the user from being deactivated when data is updated.
Specialists in myON can assign students to their roster or create groups that include students from any school in the district.
Only the district administrator can create Specialist accounts for staff who work in multiple schools.
