Can the assessments and quizzes be read to the students? Why not?

As a parent or teacher you would like to know why book quizzes and Lexile assessments are not read aloud to the student.

1. Book quizzes are designed as reading comprehension quizzes. If a child is too young to be able to read by themselves, the building administrator has the ability to restrict book quizzes to a minimum grade level or turn them off completely.

2. Lexile Assesments are designed using the Lexile® Framework for Reading. Per, "The Lexile Framework is a scientific way to match readers with text using the same scale." Audio on a Lexile Assesment would negate, skew, or provide inaccurate results.
